Design San Francisco Event February 2-4, 2011

Design San Francisco is this week at the SF Design Center.  This is an annual event for Design Professionals that has replaced winter market.  This year there will be three keynote presentations.  Additionally, the showrooms are hosting seminars  and workshops.

  • I plan on attending the “Live with Jeff Lewis” presentation.  He is the star of Flipping Out, Bravo’s TV series.   It’s from 10a-11a on Wednesday.
  • At A. Rudin there is a presentation by David Duncan Livingston.  He is an interiors photographer.  It’s from 2-3p on Wednesday.
  • From 3-4p on Wednesday there is a presentation on Picture framing Design and Art & Mirror installation.  I figure I could use a refresher course, since I have a potential client who wants to discuss artwork placement.
  • On Thursday, Benjamin Moore is hosting a Color Pulse 2012 that I hope to attend.
  • I love Randolph & Hein, and Sloan Miyasato is hosting an event called “The Legends of Randolph & Hein.”  This event is on Thursday from 11a-12p.
  • On Friday, DeSousa Hughes, one of my favorite showrooms in the Showplace, is hosting a “Made in California”, a panel discussion about the abundance of innovative design and artisanal manufacturing in California.  This is from 11-12p.
  • I’ll be sure to report back on my musings!
